Recurrent Structure in an Unclassified Inscription Corpus from Northwest Greenland

ABSTRACT

Initial analysis of a small inscription corpus associated with a Pituffik field archive. Repeated signs and sign groups show non-random positional distributions, including recurrent terminal variation and stable cluster ordering. The available sample is insufficient for translation or linguistic affiliation, but decorative repetition is not favored by the current model.
